Hi, We're Shropshire Farm Vets
Over 170 Years of Veterinary Experience
Our Aim is to deliver standout veterinary care on every farm.
We are a dedicated farm animal practice providing services to farmers and smallholders, in and around Shropshire.

We provide a friendly, professional service whilst promoting animal health and welfare 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We are active members of XLVets, a group of independently owned, progressive veterinary practices that work together to achieve the highest standards of veterinary care. By working together and sharing experience, knowledge and skills we seek to define the highest standards of veterinary practice.
History
The practice began trading in September 2003 under the banner of Macpherson O’Sullivan LLP when Alistair Macpherson and Tim O’Sullivan took over the farm work from Abbey Vets in Shrewsbury.
Alistair and Tim had previously worked together in farm only positions in Cheshire and had seen the benefits a focused farm animal only service could deliver for farmers and for vets. Initially there were two full time vets with Bill Adams helping out on a part time basis.
As the practice grew, Roel Driesen joined as an assistant in 2004, and subsequently became a director in 2008 when the practice became a limited company.
James Marsden joined the practice in 2007 and in 2012 he became a director.
Tia Thomas joined the practice in January 2009 and in 2019 she became a director

As the practice grows and TB continues to spread into our once TB free area the decision came to employ one full time TB specific vet, which has grown to 4 TB specific vets and 9 dedicated farm vets, making 13 in total to date.
We now provide veterinary services to dairy, beef, sheep, pig farms and small holders across Shropshire and surrounding areas.
